About the SHAKAWEAR Shadow
The Shadow colorway is the Shaka Wear heavyweight for brands that want a black tee without the flat, brand-new black. It is the same 7.5 oz/yd² garment-dyed cotton as the rest of the line — dense, drop-shoulder, boxy, built to hold its shape — dyed to a deep charcoal-black that already looks like it has been through a few washes. Garment dyeing means the color sits in the finished shirt, so it fades evenly rather than at the seams.
Print 24 × 24″ on the front and 24 × 24″ on the back. Shadow is the natural ground for tonal work — dark gray on near-black, faded white, distressed textures from our studio's effects — and it also carries bright color, because our line prints a white underbase under every design on dark fabric.
